What to Expect on Your Hunt

Welcome to an unforgettable hunting experience with us!

Your adventure begins as soon as you check in, and it's as laid-back as it gets.

You're welcome to arrive anytime after 1 pm, but most of our groups tend to roll in around 4. Once you're settled, we'll gather for a hearty dinner served at 6:30 p.m. It's the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow hunters and share some stories.

Your guide will join you for dinner and discuss the game plan for your hunts. We like to keep things casual, and our aim is to make you feel right at home.

Each morning, we'll kickstart your day with a quick hot breakfast and coffee before heading out on your hunt. Our typical hunting schedule usually runs until 11 a.m., at which point we return for a delicious lunch to recharge. Dinner is served each evening at 6:30 p.m.

Check out time is around noon on the last day of your stay.

Food Allergies?

Please let us know if there's anyone in your party with food allergies, such as nuts, peanuts or shellfish.

Meals are served family-style and we do our best to see that everyone is comfortable. However, due to the nature of staying at a lodge, we are unable to guarantee that we can accommodate a guest with severe food allergies.

Afternoon Hunts

Your adventure includes morning hunts with your booking, with the option to extend your experience with afternoon hunts for an additional $200 per person. These afternoon hunts often focus on speck or ducks, adding another layer of excitement to your journey.

Libations and Soft Drinks

It's essential to prepare for your trip properly. Since we're located in a dry county, be sure to bring along your favorite beer, liquor or wine to enhance your evening relaxation.

Don't worry about food and hydration; we've got you covered with provisions like coffee, water, and tea. If you have specific soda preferences, feel free to bring them along.

What's Best to Bring

Don't forget your hunting essentials - your trusty shotgun and plenty of shells to make those unforgettable memories. If you need some last-minute items, Jonesboro (pop. ~80,000) is less than a half hour away, but you can't always count on needed items being in stock since this is a popular hunting destination.

A 12- or 10-gauge shotgun works best for goose hunting. We recommend shooting BB or BBB shells.

What's Best to Wear

We recommend waders and knee boots to make your hunt more comfortable, although waders are not mandatory for goose hunting.

The Weather

Goose hunting could be considered an extreme sport -- you will be outdoors in whatever elements Mother Nature has in store. So be prepared!

Temperatures in this part of Arkansas can be anywhere from 85 degrees to close to freezing. Layers are a good thing -- stuff you can peel off if the day grows warmer.

Bring as much cold weather gear as you can -- it's always better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Waterproof clothes and footwear, gloves, headgear, hand warmers -- all good things to have on hand.

Buy a Hunting License

In Arkansas, all hunters are required to have a permit to hunt. The state allows for a non-resident license and a resident license. Please buy a license prior to hunting with us.
